Scott Petrie, Best Man

May I please have your attention. As the best man I get the honor of toasting the bride and groom. Jennifer and Brett, thank you for including all of us in this special day. It has been a beautiful wedding that is fitting and appropriate for a beautiful couple.

Any of you who have been reading the brides blog on www.griffinwedding.com or have seen the bride’s running “to-do” list over the past few months know and appreciate all of the hard work, creativity, and thoughtfulness that Jen and Brett have put into this day.

Jennifer, you have been the creative force behind the wedding and I compliment you on the beautiful job you’ve done. I think everyone here will always remember 7-7-07.

Brett, you’ve done a great job as well…wisely choosing to do what Jen says and keep her happy and sane. That’s not to say you haven’t contributed a few unique ideas along the way to help make this day special and memorable as well. At first, when Renee told me it was your idea for the matching 7-7-07 tatoos, I thought you guys were taking the wedding branding a little too far…but who am I to judge. ? I’m going to want to see those by the way…

My advice to you for a long and happy wedding is to approach your marriage in the same way you approached today. Just like this wedding, your marriage will take thoughtfulness, a little bit of creativity and some hard work along the way. But, the payoff will be worth it when you look at each other 10-, 15- or 20-years from now and feel the same love for each other as you feel today. So here is to Jennifer and Brett on their wedding day. (Toast)
