Today, we arrived at the Carib Hilton. It’s a very pretty hotel, right on the beach in San Juan. We arrived at 9 am, so we had time to explore the hotel until our room was ready.
The pool is quite nice!! This photo above is just a slice of the huge pool. While we waited for our room, I got in… but the pool temp was chilly, so I didn’t stay too long. The views are amazing, so we sat in the chairs and enjoyed them while waiting for our room.

The hotel has a garden, with several critters in it. lizards, swans, ducks, and 2 peacocks. This killed some time while we waited for our room.
Our room’s bed was so fluffy, soft and comfortable. Brett had a hard time getting me to move to go do anything! 🙂 We watched 2 iguanas play on top of the fort outside our room. They were chasing eachother all over the place. Pretty funny.
The sand in Puerto Rico is quite different. It’s gold instead of white. Still very soft though. Above is a photo of the private hotel beach.
Tonight, we went into San Juan via the bus again. We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe (Brett REALLY wanted to go there) and actually, the food was quite good. I had a pineapple and chicken casadia, and a Blue Curacao and Cabo Wabo Margarita. De-Lish!
We walked around the town and enjoyed the festive Christmas Lights. It was bustling with locals and cruise ship passengers making for a festive environment.
